Mary Cheddie, SHRM-SCP, SPHR has more than 30 years of domestic and international experience in all aspects of strategic planning, human resources, HR systems, training, and payroll. She has extensive experience with strategic planning, M&As, and in starting and turning around businesses.

Most recently, Cheddie served as senior vice president of human resources for Interval Leisure Group (ILG), a leading global provider of non-traditional lodging, encompassing a portfolio of leisure businesses from exchange and vacation rental to vacation ownership. In its exchange and rental segment, Interval International and Trading Places International (TPI) offer vacation exchange and travel-related products to more than 2 million member families worldwide, while Hyatt Residence Club provides exchanges among its branded resorts in addition to its participation in the Interval Network. Aston Hotels & Resorts and Aqua Hospitality provide hotel and condominium rentals and resort management. In its vacation ownership segment, Vacation Resorts International, VRI Europe, Hyatt Vacation Ownership (HVO), Vistana Signature Experience (VE) (formerly known as Starwood Vacation Ownership), and TPI provide management services to timeshare resorts and clubs, as well as homeowners’ associations. HVO and VSE also sells, markets, and finances vacation ownership interests. ILG through its subsidiaries independently owns and manages the Hyatt Residence Club program and uses the Hyatt Vacation Ownership name and other Hyatt marks under license from affiliates of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, ILG has operations in more than 90 countries, offices in 20 countries and 14,000 employees. In this role, Cheddie was responsible for ensuring that the company retains, develops, and attracts the best talent throughout the organization, total rewards (which includes compensation, benefits, retirement, and the equity plan) as well as providing training and development opportunities for all associates globally. As a member of the executive committee, she assists in leading ILG’s continued growth.

Prior to joining Interval, she served as senior vice president, people with PRC, as well as vice president, human resources, strategic planning, office services, and facilities for The Orvis Company, Inc. in Manchester, VT.

She earned her MBA from Upper Iowa University, a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

 Cheddie received the Spirit of the FGL award in 2017 (the highest award in the FGL; voted on by team owners, athletes, volunteers, and staff), the HR Award of Excellence, Hospitality in February 2016, which was sponsored by South Florida Business & Wealth. Business Leader Magazine named Cheddie one of the 2011 Women Extraordinaire and in 2012 the National Diversity Council awarded her the Glass Ceiling Award. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Upper Iowa University where she also chairs the Human Capital Committee and is a member of the Governance Committee. She served as the Chair for Keiser Career College’s Advisory Board and served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) from 2003-2008 and chaired SHRM’s governance and compensation committees. She also served on the Waldorf College Alumni Board from 2004 through 2008 and was the President of the Dallas HR Association in 2000 (one of the largest affiliated SHRM chapters). She resides in Coral Springs, FL.
